Heavy Driver

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Heavy Driver to join our logistics team. In this vital role, you will operate various types of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, trailers, and rolloff to ensure the safe and timely delivery of freight across multiple routes. Your expertise in over-the-road (OTR) driving routes and adherence to safety regulations will help us maintain our reputation for reliability and excellence. Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial trucks, including rolloff truck, tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly to ensure safety standards are met
• Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate freight pickup and delivery schedules efficiently

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation tools for route planning and real-time navigation adjustments
• Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and safely
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations related to hours of service, load securement, and hazardous materials handling
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
• Ability to manually handle cargo safely while adhering to safety protocols for truck loading/unloading
• Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures for efficient freight movement

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
