Heavy Equipment Lube Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in heavy equipment, with hands-on experience in a service environment. This role involves performing maintenance and repairs on various types of equipment, ensuring optimal performance.

Responsibilities

• Travel both locally and out of town to perform scheduled routine maintenance on heavy equipment. (Replacing fluids, filters, lubricating parts, taking and labeling oil samples)
• Perform inspections and diagnostics on equipment to identify issues.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of service performed, parts used and travel time though utilization of company application.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with customers regarding their equipment needs.
• Assist in moving of heavy equipment as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment including company facility and lube service truck.
• Compliant with all safety protocols, guidelines and company policy.
• Assist tech/make repairs to heavy equipment as needed.
• Perform any other job-related duties assigned to meet the needs of the company.

Qualification Requirements

• Proven experience as a heavy equipment service technician.
• Strong mechanical knowledge.
• Familiarity with Caterpillar, John Deere, Volvo and Hamm is a plus.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to work independently or with other technicians.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must provide own tools.
• Have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
• Background check is required.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
• Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Mobility for crawling, crouching, safely maneuvering underneath equipment; Climbing up and down from equipment; Balancing.
• Good vision, hearing, hand-eye coordination for equipment alarms, signals and controls.
• Stamina for working in all weather conditions as work environment involves exposure to inclement weather.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
