We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to safely and efficiently operate equipment used in heavy civil construction, roadway, milling, paving, grading, and site work operations. Candidates should have hands-on experience with one or more types of heavy equipment and be comfortable working in an active construction environment.

Equipment Experience

Operators may be responsible for operating:

• Milling Machines
• Dozers
• Backhoes
• Skid Steers, including mill head attachments
• Asphalt Pavers
• Asphalt Rollers
• Excavators
• Loaders and other heavy construction equipment as needed

Responsibilities

• Safely operate assigned heavy equipment on roadway and heavy civil construction projects.
• Perform milling, paving, grading, excavation, site preparation, and material placement as required.
• Operate equipment accurately around utilities, structures, traffic, workers, and other equipment.
• Perform daily pre-shift inspections and identify maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain equipment and keep machines clean and in proper operating condition.
• Follow project plans, grade specifications, and direction from foremen and supervisors.
• Work closely with laborers, truck drivers, operators, and other crew members to maintain production.
• Follow all company, OSHA, DOT, and jobsite safety requirements.
• Assist with general jobsite duties when equipment is not in operation.
• Maintain a safe, productive, and professional work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating heavy construction equipment required.
• Experience in heavy civil, roadway, asphalt paving, milling, grading, excavation, or site work strongly preferred.
• Must be able to safely and confidently operate assigned equipment.
• Ability to understand grades, elevations, and basic construction plans preferred.
• Knowledge of equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions.
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and overtime as project schedules require.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus.
• Must be dependable, safety-focused, and able to work effectively as part of a crew.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience operating multiple pieces of equipment are strongly preferred, particularly those with roadway milling, paving, excavation, and grading experience.
