Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will operate a variety of heavy machinery to support yard operations ensuring efficient progress and adherence to safety standards. Duties

• Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, shredders , barclay, and excavaters with precision and safety.
• Handle material movement and loading tasks using appropriate equipment like forklifts, excavators, and other material handling machinery.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
• Follow all equipment safety procedures and occupational safety regulations while operating machinery on-site.
• Assist in all yard operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of yard duties
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently while adhering to project timelines and OSHA standards to maintain a safe , optimal work space

Requirements

• Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes, shredders, and other heavy equipment in a recycling site environment.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, hydraulics systems maintenance, and general mechanical principles related to heavy equipment preferred
• Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively for minor repairs or adjustments on equipment
• Familiarity with safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Experience working with facility site protocols, occupational safety standards, and equipment maintenance routines.
• Strong understanding of processes including material handling, site safety procedures, and equipment troubleshooting.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and productivity.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
