Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our aggregate team. In this role, you will be learn how to operate a variety of machinery to facilitate the efficient and safe completion of large-scale projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful construction initiatives while maintaining a strong focus on safety and precision. We will train the right person. Candidate must be available to travel multiple nights a week of needed.

Duties

• Operate heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, skidsteers, excavators, and dump trucks to perform material handling tasks.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on construction equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
• Follow all safety procedures and occupational safety regulations while operating machinery and handling materials.
• Use hand tools and hydraulics systems for minor repairs or adjustments to equipment as needed.
• Maintain detailed logs of equipment operation hours, maintenance activities, and safety checks to ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating preferred but will train right person.
• Demonstrated knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, and routine equipment maintenance.
• Valid commercial driver’s license.
• Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and occupational health regulations.
• Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively in various operational contexts.
• Construction site experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
