Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to facilitate construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision on-site. Your expertise will help drive project success from groundwork to finishing touches, contributing to the creation of durable infrastructure and structures. Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and other machinery safely and efficiently across multiple construction sites.
• Manage the operation of specialized vehicles including concrete mixers, front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, tanker trucks, and farm machinery as needed for various tasks.
• Perform site preparation activities including grading, excavation, material loading/unloading, and site cleanup to ensure smooth workflow.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with project managers and team members to execute construction plans accurately while adhering to safety protocols and project timelines.
• Assist in setting up construction zones by installing barriers, signage, and safety devices to protect workers and the public.
• Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, maintenance records, and operational reports for accountability and compliance.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and related machinery.
• Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with site preparation and excavation processes.
• Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience driving large vehicles including dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, tanker trucks, front loader trucks, or farm machinery.
• Ability to operate specialized equipment such as concrete mixers or Caterpillar machinery confidently.
• Strong understanding of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and construction environments.
