Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic Road Crew at Wilde Acres Property Owners Association. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of construction machinery to facilitate building projects, site development, and material handling. Your expertise will ensure that operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations and industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills to contribute to successful construction outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, skid steers, and excavators, to perform earthmoving, grading, lifting, plowing, and material transport tasks.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of construction equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Follow all equipment safety procedures and occupational safety regulations to maintain a secure work environment.
• Use hand tools and hydraulics systems for minor repairs or adjustments on machinery as needed.
• Handle materials efficiently using appropriate material handling equipment such as front loaders, excavators, skid steers.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate site activities and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities in compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven construction site experience with heavy equipment operation in diverse environments.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Demonstrated ability to operate various construction machinery including dozers, loaders, skid steers, backhoes, and excavators.
• Mechanical knowledge of hydraulics, construction machinery maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and occupational safety standards.
• Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively for routine repairs or adjustments.
• Strong understanding of construction experience, experience with road repairs is a plus.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
