Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various heavy machinery, including bulldozers and excavators, to support construction projects. This role requires a strong focus on safety, equipment maintenance, and efficient material handling. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of four years of experience operating heavy equipment and hold OSHA 10 certification. A commitment to safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate construction machinery such as bulldozers and excavators and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to perform grading, excavation, and material movement tasks.
• Conduct routine maintenance on heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
• Follow all safety regulations and procedures, including proper use of PPE, to maintain a safe work environment.
• Handle materials using appropriate material handling equipment with precision and care.
• Perform daily inspections of equipment, checking hydraulics, hand tools, and other components for potential issues.
• Adhere to OSHA standards and safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and construction site safety.
• Assist with equipment setup, troubleshooting hydraulics, and minor repairs as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently while maintaining safety standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of experience operating heavy construction machinery such as bulldozers and excavators.
• Valid OSHA 10 certification or higher in construction safety.
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving is preferred.
• Knowledge of equipment maintenance procedures, hydraulics, and the use of hand tools.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance on machinery and identify potential issues early.
• Excellent attention to detail, safety consciousness, and teamwork skills.
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks associated with equipment operation and site work.

Pay: $25.92 - $32.00 per hour
