Heavy Equipment Operator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at our Sapulpa, Oklahoma location!

What You’ll Do:

• Safely and effectively operate power construction equipment such as motor graders, bulldozers, scrapers, compressors, pumps, tractors, front-end loaders, excavators, etc.
• Excavate trenches and prepare sites for installation of water, sewer, storm, and other underground utilities
• Properly followcompany and OSHA safety procedures
• Performs routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or needed repairs to the project Foreman or Owner
• Assists in identifying underground and overhead utilities
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite
• Support the crew with labor tasks
• Other duties as assigned

Education:

• You possess a high school diploma or equivalent

What Skills You Need:

• A minimum of one (1) year experience
• Strong understanding of trench safety, excavation practices, and underground utility work
• You possess good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
• You are willing and able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation: Climb and/or work in elevated areas, stand and sit for extended periods, work outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions, lift up to seventy-five (75) lbs., and perform work that involves repetitive motion and lifting.
• Willing and able to follow applicable safety precautions, policies, procedures and protocols
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License and a good driving record to drive company owned vehicles when necessary
• Willing and able to travel to and from job sites with occasional overnight stay
• You are comfortable with technology and possess a basic computer aptitude including the use of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and are willing and able to learn other company specific applications as required.
• You understand that delivering to our customers on-time keeps us viable, and are willing and able to work overtime hours, which include nights, weekends, and holidays during peak times or projects

What Makes You Stand Out:

• You have two (2) years’ experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator within the Utility, Construction, Excavation, or related field

Work Authorization and Relocation:

• This position does NOT offer a comprehensive domestic relocation benefit package
• VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position

Type of Work:

• 100% On-Site

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
