Heavy Equipment Operator- Snow

We’re currently hiring seasonal team members for our Snow Division, with the potential for full-time, year-round employment for the right candidates. Year-round opportunities include benefits such as insurance, paid time off, and retirement.

What You’ll Do:

• Safely operate snow plow equipment to clear commercial properties and sidewalks
• Use truck-mounted salt spreaders to apply de-icing products
• Operate heavy equipment (skid steers, backhoes, wheel loaders) to load salt and assist in snow operations
• Perform manual snow/ice removal on sidewalks and entryways as needed
• Maintain accurate records (time logs, equipment maintenance reports)
• Report any vehicle or equipment issues promptly
• Represent Freeman’s professionalism and service standards at all times

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid driver’s license (required) MDOT preferred
• Reliable transportation to and from work sites
• Availability to work on-call, 24/7, depending on weather conditions
• Prior snow plowing experience (required)
• Experience with heavy machinery (required)
• Ability to use hand tools and operate vehicles safely in winter conditions

Job Type: Seasonal / Part-time (potential for full-time year-round)

Schedule:

• On call (24/7 during winter storms)
• Day, evening, overnight, weekends, and holidays as needed

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
