Your Mission:

As our Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician, you'll be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing the facility's fleet of mobile equipment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and operational availability through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely repairs.

Here’s what an ordinary day of work might look like:

• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment, vehicles, and associated systems.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance in accordance with established maintenance schedules.
• Maintain and repair:
• Volvo and John Deere wheel loaders
• Telehandlers
• Man lifts
• Kubota UTVs
• Light-duty trucks and support vehicles
• Service diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, drivetrain components, steering systems, braking systems, and attachments.
• Conduct regular equipment inspections and proactively identify maintenance concerns.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair situations.
• Perform welding, fabrication, and component replacement as required.
• Perform all work in accordance with company policies, safe work procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in hazard assessments, toolbox talks, and safety initiatives.
• Participate in after-hours, emergency, and on-call maintenance activities as required.

This job is for you if you:

• Certified Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (Journeyperson/Red Seal) or equivalent recognized trade certification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience maintaining and repairing heavy mobile equipment.
• Demonstrated experience working with wheel loaders, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, mining equipment, or similar heavy-duty machinery.
• Strong working knowledge of:
• Diesel engines
• Hydraulic systems
• Electrical systems
• Powertrains
• Braking systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and service documentation.
• Experience performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
• Have mechanical aptitude – it’s a strong fit, allowing you to complete daily inspections confidently.
• Are resourceful and capable of working alone and collaboratively within a team.
• Hold a valid Driver's License – it is a requirement.

Schedule: Tuesday- Friday, 6:00am-4:30 PM
