Job Overview

Carolina Elite Builders is seeking a motivated and experienced Heavy Machinery Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment to facilitate excavation, grading, utility work, and site development projects. Your expertise will help ensure that construction activities are completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with all safety regulations and industry standards. Responsibilities

• Operate construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, Bobcat, trailers, and dump truck
• Perform excavation tasks including trenching, digging, and site clearing to prepare for construction activities.
• Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on all equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety procedures.
• Assist with construction grading and utility locating to support project accuracy and utility installation.
• Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members on construction site activities, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, or similar equipment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic maintenance on construction machinery.
• Construction site experience with a focus on utility work, excavation, grading, or related tasks.
• Valid commercial driver’s license with experience in commercial truck driving is preferred.
• Ability to perform utility locating using specialized tools and techniques.
• Familiarity with construction grading techniques and heavy equipment operation standards.

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
