Heavy Wrecker Operator

Garner's Towing & Transport is looking for experienced, professional, and reliable Heavy Duty Tow Truck Operators to join our growing team in Indianapolis, IN. What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

• Operate heavy-duty wreckers, rotators, and transport equipment safely and efficiently.
• Respond to commercial towing, recovery, and roadside assistance requests.
• Perform complex recoveries, uprighting overturned commercial vehicles, and clearing accident scenes.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is in safe, peak working condition.
• Provide exceptional customer service to stranded drivers, commercial clients, and law enforcement partners.
• Maintain accurate electronic logs and service documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

• License: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) is required.
• Medical: Current CDL Physical (Medical Examiner's Certificate) is required.
• Experience: Proven experience operating heavy-duty tow trucks/wreckers. Experience with automotive repair or mechanical troubleshooting is a strong plus.
• Driving Record: Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Background: Must be able to pass a standard criminal background check.
• Skills: Strong customer service skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work under pressure in challenging weather or traffic conditions.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
