Duties

• Operate heavy-duty tow trucks and flatbed wrecker equipment to recover disabled or damaged vehicles efficiently and safely
• Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and minor repairs on vehicles to facilitate recovery or transport
• Secure vehicles using cargo securement protocols to prevent movement during transit
• Conduct safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks, ensuring proper positioning and adherence to safety standards
• Assist with automotive diagnostics and automotive repair tasks as needed to support vehicle recovery efforts
• Manage customer interactions professionally, providing clear communication and updates throughout the recovery process
• Follow all safety procedures related to vehicle recovery towing, cargo handling, and equipment operation
• Maintain detailed logs of recoveries, repairs, and vehicle movements for operational transparency

Experience

• Proven experience operating tow trucks, including flatbeds and heavy wreckers, with a strong understanding of commercial truck driving regulations
• Mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics, minor mechanical vehicle repair, and basic vehicle troubleshooting
• Familiarity with cargo securement protocols and safe vehicle loading techniques on tow trucks
• Experience in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license for heavy trucks and manual transmission operation
• Strong conflict management skills to handle challenging situations professionally and calmly
• Customer service experience demonstrating clear communication and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of vehicle mechanics relevant to truck drivers and car towing operations is highly desirable

Pay: $24.16 - $29.09 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
