About the role

We’re hiring a Hedge Accounting Advisor to provide expert guidance to clients on hedge accounting strategies under both US GAAP and IFRS frameworks. You’ll advise on the analysis, documentation, and application of hedge accounting, helping clients navigate complex financial instruments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and value derivatives and financial instruments
• Advise on hedge accounting strategies and compliance with US GAAP/IFRS
• Prepare hedge effectiveness assessments and supporting documentation
• Guide clients in applying accounting policies and procedures
• Review risk quantification, valuation models, and related adjustments (CVA/DVA/FVA)
• Collaborate with clients on accounting for FX forwards, swaps, options, and other OTC instruments

Skills & qualifications

Required

• Degree in finance, accounting, or quantitative field
• 3+ years’ experience in derivatives or hedge accounting advisory
• Strong knowledge of hedge accounting (cash flow, fair value, net investment)
• Experience with IFRS 9/IAS 39 and US GAAP (ASC 815/ASC 830)
• Familiarity with Bloomberg, Reuters, or other pricing software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

• Experience with programming (Python, OLAP, SQL)
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Knowledge of XVA adjustments and advanced valuation methods
