Helpdesk Associate

About the role

The Helpdesk Associate/Service Desk Associate is responsible for the first-level technical support to employees concerning hardware failures.

Key responsibilities

• Serves as liaison between staff and the IT Departments to resolve issues
• Responsible for providing feedback to employees on problems not immediately resolved
• Administers helpdesk software by logging all problems and appropriate actions made by all MIS & IT personnel
• Prepares all daily logs activity reports of MIS & IT Group
• Responsible for updating documentation such as received calls and resolution type given to a customer for future references
• Responsible for requesting IVR
• Assembles machine and install software for newly hired employees issued unit
• Must be able to analyze possible cause of hardware, software and network connection failure and errors
• Responsible for installing and upgrading hardware, software, and peripherals
• Trains and supervise OJTS

Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications

• Must possess at least a Bachelor’s / College Degree, Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Engineering, or equivalent
• At least 1-2 years of working experience in the related field but fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Knowledge in asset management is a plus.
• Must be willing to work at VST ECS Phils., - Talisay City, Cebu
