Position Overview

The Helper assists with residential and commercial moves by packing, loading, transporting, unloading, and unpacking customers’ belongings. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

For safety, communication, and operational effectiveness, candidates must be able to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to understand instructions, safety procedures, and customer communications.

Key Responsibilities

• · Assist movers with packing and wrapping furniture and household items.
• · Load and unload moving trucks safely and efficiently.
• · Carry furniture, boxes. Appliances, and other items to and from homes, offices, and storage facilities.
• · Help assemble and disassemble furniture as needed.
• · Protect customer property from damage during the moving process.
• · Follow safety procedures and proper lifting techniques.
• · Maintain moving equipment and keep trucks clean and organized.
• · Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• · Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• · Previous moving, warehouse, delivery, or labor experience preferred.
• · Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• · Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50-100 lbs.).
• · Strong physical endurance and ability to work long hours when needed.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (for driver positions).
• Punctual, reliable, and able to work flexible hours (including weekends if needed).
• · Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules.

• · Travel to customer locations throughout the service area.
