Herdsperson

An Exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Award-Winning Farm. Our Young Progressive young team needs an Herdsperson.

Our Farm

We have a 400 New Zealand crossbred herd calving over 9 weeks in the Spring. We rear 200 followers in house, all outwintered on farm. We run a grazing system aiming to get as much milk from grass as possible, with an excellent track and water infrastructure in place. Cows are milked twice daily through a 40/80 herringbone (team of 2 milking) with simple in parlour feeding and well invested associated infrastructure.

Your Role

You will be responsible for milking twice a day, parlour hygiene, identifying issues promptly and ensuring appropriate treatment. with a focus on our high health and welfare standards, as well as supporting the rest of the team with general farm tasks.

You

We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for cows. Experience of grazing system not necessary but an enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn is Essential.
