HGV Class 1 C+E Driver

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HGV Class 1 C+E Driver to join our team and deliver exceptional service across various locations. Duties

• Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, including trucks, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle’s safety and compliance before each journey
• Load and secure cargo on trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and stability for safe transportation
• Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel usage and minimizing delays
• Deliver goods directly to customer sites or distribution centers, providing excellent customer service during each interaction
• Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and mileage records
• Follow all health and safety procedures, including compliance with manual handling protocols and secure load practices

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving license with a clean driving record
• Proven experience as a commercial driver with delivery driver experience preferred
• Familiarity with truck operations and securing loads safely
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations and transportation laws
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as loading/unloading cargo and securing loads
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members effectively
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed

Pay: £18.00-£23.00 per hour
