Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to designated locations using a Curtain side lorry.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Curtain side lorry to transport goods to various destinations
• Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
• Maintain accurate driving logs
• Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary

Experience

• Previous experience as a delivery driver or commercial driver is desirable
• Valid commercial driving license (CPC) is required
• Excellent driving record with no traffic violations

To be successful for the HGV CLASS 1 driver role you will:-

• Hold a valid LGV C+E licence.

• Hold a valid CPC / DQC Card.

• Hold a valid Digital tachograph card.

• Have a minimum of 2 years LGV C+E experience.

• Undergo a day's training in order to familiarise with the trailers & equipment

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods and materials to designated locations

• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and adherence to safety regulations

• Plan routes and follow delivery schedules to ensure timely and efficient deliveries

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition

• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or accidents

• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members

Requirements:

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
• Proven experience as a truck driver or delivery driver
• Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures for operating commercial vehicles
• Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects and sitting for extended periods of time
• Excellent communication skills and customer service-oriented mindset

Pay: £170.00-£171.00 per day
