HGV Class 1 Driver

We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met
• Deliver goods using flatbed trailers, ensuring secure loading and unloading procedures are followed
• Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for compliance purposes
• Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered on the road
• Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) license with a clean driving record
• Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with walking floor or similar trailer types
• Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards for large vehicles
• Delivery driver experience demonstrating punctuality and reliability
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo safely
• Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude on the road

Pay: £12.83-£16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50.0 – 90.0 per week
