HGV Class 1 Driver

We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. As a key player in our transportation operations, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering goods across various locations.

Role

• Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated destinations
• Handle loads with care, ensuring secure fastening and proper handling of cargo
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to guarantee roadworthiness and safety compliance
• Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency
• Complete all necessary documentation, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and delivery confirmations
• Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during transit
• Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies throughout every journey

Experience

• Proven experience as a commercial delivery driver, particularly with curtain sider loads preferred
• Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safety procedures for HGV vehicles
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
• Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading/unloading or securing cargo on flatbeds
• Good navigation skills and familiarity with route planning tools
• Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, dispatchers, and team members
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high safety standards at all times

Pay: £45,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
