HGV Class 1 Driver

Job Summary

We are recruiting Class 1 (C+E) HGV Drivers for permanent contract work based in the Braintree area.

We have opportunities across multiple customer contracts, with a range of shift patterns and start times available. There is also likely to be significant opportunity for overtime and additional shifts.

Pay & Hours

• Typical 5-day pattern: 10 hours per day / 50 hours per week - £800 per week basic
• 4 on 4 off pattern may also be available: 12 hours per day / 42 hours per week
• Guaranteed shift pay: you will be paid for your full scheduled shift even if the work is completed early.
• Additional hours and shifts available at overtime rates.
• Basic equivalent salary of £41,600 per year, with potential earnings of £60,000+ with regular overtime.

The Role

You will be carrying out Class 1 driving work on established customer contracts operating from the Braintree area. Exact duties, shift times and working patterns will vary depending on the contract and will be discussed with applicants during the recruitment process.

We currently expect both 5-day-per-week and 7-day operations, giving us flexibility to accommodate different working patterns.

What We're Looking For

• Full Class 1 / Category C+E licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and working time requirements
• Reliable and professional approach
• Previous Class 1 driving experience

This is a permanent opportunity with guaranteed shift pay and good earning potential for drivers looking to take advantage of regular overtime.

Pay: £41,600.00-£60,000.00 per year
