HGV Class 1 Driver

Elddis Transport is a well-established and well-respected haulage company based in the North East. We require Class 1 drivers for our Consett based operations.

Variety of shifts available:

• Full-time/Part-time/4x4
• Days/Nights
• Tramping/Out & Backs

Wages:

• Basic hours: £15.50
• Overtime after 10 hours: £17.34
• Weekend rate: £19.56
• Night rate & pre 04:45 rate of £1.84
• Paid 4-weekly

Responsibilities:

• Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently during shifts.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations while adhering to traffic regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance.
• Manage loads securely, ensuring proper strapping as needed.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with traffic office and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.

Previous experience prefered.
