HGV Class 1 Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team.

Nightshift position available from now.

double manned, stores delivery

Shifts from 8 to 15 hours.

5-6 days per week including weekends.

Duties

• Operate HGV Class 1 lorries, predominantly flatbed vehicles, ensuring compliance with road safety laws and company policies.
• Conduct pre-journey checks on the vehicle to ensure it is safe and roadworthy.
• Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules and optimise fuel efficiency.
• Load and unload goods safely
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, including delivery notes and logbooks.
• Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with clients and colleagues during deliveries.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or damage.
• Report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly to management for resolution.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles and delivery operations.
• Knowledge of road regulations and safety standards relevant to large vehicle operation in the UK.
• Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo safely.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently.
• Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including early mornings or late shifts if necessary.
