We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. As a key player in our transportation operations, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering goods across various locations. Duties

• Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, including flatbed trucks, with precision and adherence to all safety regulations
• Safely load, secure, and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of goods and compliance with weight limits
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns
• Plan delivery routes efficiently to optimize time and fuel usage while meeting delivery schedules
• Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and route sheets
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery statuses or any unforeseen issues
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude when interacting with clients and colleagues

Skills

• At least 6 months experience as adriver, specifically within delivery or logistics environments
• Strong knowledge of flatbed operations and securing cargo for safe transit
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record and valid HGV Class 1 license
• Ability to handle physical tasks involved in loading/unloading cargo safely and efficiently
• Good understanding of road safety regulations, transportation laws, and best practices in commercial driving
• Effective communication skills for clear reporting and customer interactions
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing schedules or routes

Pay: £14 per hour. 60-70 hours a week

Pay: £14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50.0 per week
