HGV Class 1 Driver - Nights

We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team for night shifts. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating large trucks to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in commercial driving and delivery will ensure timely, secure, and professional service to our clients. Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, primarily trucks, during night shifts to transport goods to various locations.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
• Secure loads properly adhering to safety standards and ensuring cargo integrity during transit.
• Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures while maintaining a high standard of driving excellence.
• Complete accurate delivery documentation, including manifests and delivery logs, and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route progress, delays, or issues encountered during deliveries.
• Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with clients, warehouse staff, and other stakeholders.

Skills

• Proven experience as a commercial driver with a focus on transportation and delivery operations.
• Strong knowledge of HGV driving regulations and safety standards applicable to night shift operations.
• Excellent driving skills with the ability to handle large vehicles confidently under various road conditions.
• Experience in delivery driver roles with a focus on timely and secure cargo handling.
• Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.
• Good communication skills for clear reporting and customer interactions.
• Valid HGV Class 1 license with relevant endorsements; experience with flatbed loads is highly desirable.
