DriveStaff Recruitment is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a busy and well-established transport operation based in Warrington, WA4.

This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for regular, consistent Class 1 work, with the opportunity to move into a permanent position directly with the client after 12 weeks.

The work consists mainly of RDC deliveries, with drivers required to self-tip at RDCs.

Immediate starts are available for suitable drivers.

PAY & SHIFTS

£18.00 per hour PAYE – Rolled-Up Holiday Pay Included

During the initial 12-week period with DriveStaff, the work consists of:

• Regular ongoing Class 1 work - Monday - Friday
• Mainly RDC deliveries
• Full-time hours
• Weekly PAYE pay
• Immediate starts available
• Genuine 12-week temp-to-perm opportunity
• Consistent weekly bookings

After 12 weeks – Permanent Package:

• £40,300 annual salary
• 50-hour weekly contract
• Equivalent to approximately £17.37 per hour
• Overtime paid for hours worked over 50 hours
• Additional £5.00 per hour for qualifying hours worked between 10pm and 4am
• Permanent employment directly with the client
• Monthly Pay

THE ROLE

You'll be carrying out Class 1 work from the client's Warrington operation, predominantly delivering into RDCs.

Typical duties include:

• HGV Class 1 RDC deliveries
• Self-tipping at RDCs
• Deliveries and collections
• Completing daily vehicle checks
• Ensuring loads are transported safely and securely
• Completing paperwork and PODs accurately
• Working within Drivers' Hours and Working Time regulations
• Maintaining a professional standard when representing the client

Previous RDC delivery experience would be beneficial due to the nature of the work.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• Valid UK Class 1 / Category C+E licence
• Minimum 12 months' Class 1 driving experience
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Maximum 6 penalty points
• No DD or TT endorsements
• Must be aged 25 or over for insurance purposes
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time regulations
• Reliable and professional attitude
• Good communication skills
