Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated HGV Class 1 Driver tramper to join our logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating large trucks to transport goods across various locations, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This position involves extensive driving, adherence to safety regulations, and managing deliveries on a flexible schedule that may involve long periods away from home. Your expertise will help keep our supply chain running smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Duties

• Operate HGV Class 1 trucks with flatbed trailers to transport goods efficiently across regional and national routes
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with legal standards
• Secure loads properly on arctic trailers, ensuring safe transit and compliance with weight limits
• Manage delivery documentation accurately, including delivery notes, logs, and compliance paperwork
• Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and health & safety regulations during every journey
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse teams, and clients to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly
• Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle to uphold safety standards and operational readiness

Experience

• Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid HGV Class 1 license (C+E)
• Demonstrable experience in flatbed driving, including securing loads for transit
• Strong understanding of driving regulations and safety protocols for commercial vehicles
• Previous delivery driver experience is highly desirable, especially with long-distance or tramper routes
• Ability to perform routine vehicle checks and basic maintenance tasks confidently
• Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with route planning software is advantageous

Pay: From £14.00 per hour
