HGV Class 2 Driver

We are seeking a reliable and experienced 18T Lorry Driver to join the Swindon Logistics team. The Driver will be responsible for safely transporting goods from one location to another, while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.

Responsibilities:

• Carrying out pre trip inspections of the lorry, ensuring that it is in good working order before setting out on the road.
• Loading and unloading goods onto and off the lorry.
• Maintaining a clean and organised lorry cab and reporting any maintenance issues or damage.
• Communicating effectively with customers and colleagues, providing updates on delivery times and any delays.
• Completing delivery paperwork and obtaining necessary signatures upon delivery.
• Following all health and safety procedures and regulations while on the job.

Requirements:

• Valid Class C driver's license and CPC qualification
• Minimum of 1 years of experience driving an 18T lorry
• Ability to read maps and use GPS systems to navigate
• Excellent driving skills, with a proven safety record
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work flexible hours and we have some overtime if wanted

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to help load and unload the lorry
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time while driving
• Good vision and hearing, with the ability to see and hear clearly while on the road

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £32,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
