HGV Class 2 Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. Duties

• Operate Curtain side lorries and other commercial vehicles in compliance with road safety regulations.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet schedule requirements.
• Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring securement during transit.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any faults or issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on the road and at loading/unloading sites.
• Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained throughout shifts.

Experience

• Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with curtains side or specialised transport experience.
• Demonstrable driving skills with a clean driving record.
• Previous delivery driver experience is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving.
• Ability to operate curtain side lorries efficiently and safely under various conditions.
• Familiarity with route planning tools and GPS navigation systems is advantageous. This role is ideal for individuals committed to safe driving practices, punctuality, and delivering exceptional service in a professional environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £500.00-£600.00 per week
