HGV Class 2 Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating lorries to deliver goods across various locations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a focus on commercial driving and delivery services. The position requires a commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service, ensuring that all deliveries are completed efficiently and in accordance with legal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all deliveries are completed on time, maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with legal standards.
• Secure loads properly on Curtainsider to prevent movement during transit.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams.
• Adhere to all road safety laws, driving regulations, and company policies at all times.
• Assist with loading and unloading when required, ensuring proper handling of goods.
• Report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly to management.

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly as a delivery driver or HGV driver.
• Prior experience with flatbed vehicles is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving.
• Familiarity with delivery routes and logistics planning is advantageous.
• Valid UK HGV Class 2 licence is essential, with a clean driving record.
• Experience in handling cargo securely on flatbed trailers is preferred. This role is ideal for dedicated drivers looking to utilise their expertise in a professional environment that values safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Pay: £32,500.00 per year
