Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating a Class 2 Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) to deliver goods efficiently and reliably to various locations. Your expertise in commercial driving, combined with your commitment to safety and customer service, will ensure smooth operations and satisfied clients. Duties

• Safely operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Plan delivery routes effectively to meet deadlines while optimizing fuel efficiency and time management
• Load and unload cargo with care, ensuring proper securing of goods on flatbeds or other vehicle types
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns
• Communicate professionally with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays
• Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and route sheets
• Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle to uphold company standards and safety protocols

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving license with a clean driving record
• Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly with delivery operations involving flatbed trucks
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards for commercial vehicles
• Delivery driver experience with excellent time management skills
• Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading/unloading cargo safely and efficiently
• Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members effectively
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings or weekends as needed

Guaranteed 50 hours per week pay, with an extra £10 a week for use of mobile phone.

Pay: £14.00 per hour
