HGV Class 2 Driver – Day & Night Shifts

Job Overview

We are seeking motivated and reliable HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our dynamic logistics team. We have opportunities available for both daytime and nighttime work, giving drivers the flexibility to choose the shift that suits them best.

You will be responsible for safely operating a Class 2 HGV, delivering goods efficiently and securely to various locations. Your driving experience, professionalism and commitment to safety will play an important role in ensuring reliable and timely deliveries.

Shift Options & Pay

• Day Shift: £160 per 10-hour shift
• Night Shift: £180 per shift
• Choice of day or night work, subject to availability
• Regular work available for reliable drivers

Duties

• Safely operate a Class 2 HGV, including flatbed trucks, in accordance with all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Plan and complete delivery routes efficiently and on time
• Secure loads correctly and safely during transit
• Carry out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Assist with loading and unloading when required
• Complete delivery documentation, including delivery logs and driver reports
• Communicate effectively with the transport/dispatch team regarding delivery progress or any issues
• Maintain a professional attitude when dealing with customers and other site personnel
• Ensure the vehicle is kept clean, secure and in a roadworthy condition

Requirements

• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) HGV licence
• Minimum 2 years’ HGV Class 2 driving experience
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous commercial driving experience
• Experience with flatbed or similar vehicles advantageous
• Good knowledge of road safety and HGV regulations
• Ability to safely assist with loading and unloading where required
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach
• Flexibility to work either day or night shifts
