HGV Class 2 Driver – Springburn – £36,000 Per Annum – New Passes Welcome People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our client's growing transport operation based in Springburn, Glasgow , covering the surrounding areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering a £36,000 annual salary, early morning start times, full training, immediate starts and ongoing support. Both experienced and newly qualified HGV Class 2 Drivers are welcome to apply.

£36,000 Per Annum | New Passes Welcome | Full Training | Immediate Starts | Company Discounts | Free Parking This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Rigid HGV Driver or Multi-Drop Delivery Driver.

Shifts  

• Multiple start times available between 1:00am and 4:00am
• Early morning starts
• Shift pattern and working days to be confirmed

Rates of Pay  

• £36,000 per annum
• Payment arrangements to be confirmed

Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:

 

• Safely operating HGV Class 2 vehicles to and from delivery locations
• Completing multi-drop deliveries with the support of a Driver's Mate
• Loading and unloading goods safely and accurately
• Carrying out manual handling and handball duties as required
• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
• Following road traffic regulations and driver compliance requirements
• Maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork
• Communicating effectively with dispatch teams, customers and site staff
• Providing a professional and reliable delivery service

Essential Skills To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:

 

• Valid UK Category C driving licence
• Valid Driver CPC qualification card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• No IN, DR, DD or CD driving offence codes
• Understanding of road safety and driver compliance
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work alongside a Driver's Mate on multi-drop deliveries
• Willingness to undertake loading, unloading and handball duties
• Reliable, professional and punctual approach

Desirable Experience  

• Previous HGV Class 2 or commercial driving experience
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience
• Experience handling large or bulky goods
• Good customer service experience

Training Provided  

• Full industry-related training
• Support for newly qualified HGV Class 2 Drivers
• Ongoing training and development throughout your assignment
