We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 2 Concrete Mixer Driver to join our busy and professional team. In this important role, you will be responsible for safely operating a Class 2 concrete mixer vehicle, delivering ready-mixed concrete to construction sites and customers across the local area.

You will play a key role in ensuring concrete is delivered safely, efficiently and within agreed timescales, while maintaining high standards of customer service and vehicle care. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV driver who takes pride in their work and enjoys working in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 2 HGV concrete mixer vehicle, complying with all relevant road traffic laws, company policies and health and safety regulations
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance requirements promptly
• Safely load, transport and discharge ready-mixed concrete at construction sites, ensuring the product is handled correctly meeting site specific requirements
• Ensure concrete is delivered safely within the required timeframes and in accordance with customer specifications
• Keep the vehicle clean, tidy and in good working condition, including regular cleaning of the mixer drum and discharge equipment
• Adhere to working time, drivers' hours and tachograph regulations at all times

Skills & Experience

• Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence
• Valid Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card
• Previous experience driving HGVs, ideally with experience operating a concrete mixer
• Good knowledge of UK road safety regulations and HGV driving requirements
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures, particularly when working on construction sites
• Confident and responsible approach to vehicle operation and site deliveries
• Good vehicle awareness and ability to carry out routine vehicle checks
• Effective communication skills for liaising with team members and customers
• Ability to work independently while also being part of a busy operational team
• Reliable, punctual and flexible approach to working hours
• Physically capable of carrying out duties associated with operating and cleaning a concrete mixer
• A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, professionalism and customer service
