HGV Class 2 Driver – Day & Night Shifts immediate start

Job Overview

We are looking for dependable, professional and hardworking HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our growing transport team. We have both day and night shift opportunities available, allowing drivers to choose their preferred working pattern, subject to availability.

The role involves operating a Class 2 HGV safely and efficiently, completing deliveries to various locations and ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard. We are looking for drivers who take pride in their work, have a strong safety awareness and can deliver a reliable service.

Shift Options & Pay

• Day Shift: £170 per 10-hour shift
• Night Shift: £190 per shift
• Choice of day or night work, subject to availability
• Temporary positions with the potential for regular, ongoing work
• Opportunity for the right candidate to secure full-time employment

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 HGV safely and responsibly, including flatbed vehicles where required.
• Complete assigned routes and deliveries efficiently and on schedule.
• Ensure loads are properly secured before and during transit.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks before and after shifts.
• Assist with loading and unloading duties when necessary.
• Complete all required delivery paperwork and vehicle records accurately.
• Keep the transport team informed of progress, delays or any issues encountered.
• Maintain a professional and courteous approach when dealing with customers and site staff.
• Ensure the vehicle remains clean, secure and roadworthy.
• Follow all relevant road traffic laws, drivers’ hours rules and transport regulations.

Requirements

• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) HGV driving licence.
• Minimum of 2 years’ HGV Class 2 driving experience.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous experience in commercial transport or delivery work.
• Flatbed or similar vehicle experience would be an advantage.
• Good understanding of road safety and HGV compliance requirements.
• Ability to assist with loading and unloading when required.
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to completing work to a high standard.
• Willingness to work either day or night shifts, depending on preference and availability.
