Duties

• Safely operate a Class 2 Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) for multi-drop deliveries across various destinations
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and punctuality
• Load and unload goods with care, ensuring all items are handled securely and correctly
• Verify delivery documentation, obtain signatures, and complete delivery logs accurately
• Conduct vehicle safety checks before and after shifts to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude when interacting with customers during deliveries

Skills

• Proven experience as a commercial delivery driver, preferably with multi-drop routes
• Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safety procedures for HGV vehicles
• Familiarity with flatbed transportation is advantageous for handling specific cargo types
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
• Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills to liaise confidently with clients and team members
• Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading tasks and long driving hours

Pay: £16.00-£17.30 per hour
