HGV Class 2 Driver - Trainee/Qualified

Job Overview

We are currently seeking an HGV Class 2 driver for a full-time position, based at our site in Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Marble & Granite slabs on a Scania flatbed truck with Hiab Crane. The role will also include occasional yard work and loading and unloading of trucks. HGV Training can be provided to the right candidate.

Roles and responsibilities

· You will be responsible for the delivery and collection of natural stone slabs across the UK

· The completion of any relevant checks and related administration when delivering and collecting materials.

· You will be responsible for ensuring that all Company vehicles are driven safely, professionally and within the law at all times.

· As the public face of The Marble & Granite Centre Ltd. you will be well presented, communicate professionally with customers on site and promote the positive image of the company

· You will comply with current H&S legislation and company health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.

· All our HGV drivers work on a rota and will work occasional shifts in our Rickmansworth stock yard, unloading and preparing deliveries.

Skills Required

· It is essential that you have good communication skills with the ability to represent the company in a positive manner.

· You will be a fully competent driver with a clean driving licence. You will be numerate, articulate and have attention to detail.

· Hiab certificate preferred (Training can be provided)

· HGV Class 2 driving licence (Training can be provided)

· Current CPC Card (Further training will be provided)
