Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated HGV Class 2 Tipper Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a Class 2 heavy goods vehicle equipped with a tipper mechanism, delivering materials efficiently across various locations. Your proactive approach and attention to safety will ensure smooth operations and excellent service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle with tipping capabilities, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring the tipper mechanism and vehicle are in optimal condition
• Load and unload materials accurately, following proper procedures for flatbed or other cargo types
• Plan delivery routes effectively to meet schedules while optimizing fuel efficiency
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and records of all trips and cargo movements
• Communicate professionally with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure personal safety and that of colleagues and the public

Experience

• Proven commercial driving experience, preferably with delivery or construction-related roles
• Familiarity with flatbed transportation and handling of various cargo types
• Valid HGV Class 2 driving license with a clean driving record
• Experience operating tipper vehicles or similar heavy-duty trucks is advantageous
• Knowledge of road transport regulations and safety standards related to commercial driving

Pay: £14.50 per hour
