Role Summary
We are looking for a professional Class 1 (C+E) Driver to support steady general haulage work across mixed routes. This position suits drivers who want straightforward work, organised routes and consistent weekly pay. Freight is palletised, with minimal manual handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Curtainsider Operation — Opening/closing curtains and securing loads correctly
- Palletised Freight Handling — Simple, non‑manual freight movement
- Daily Vehicle Checks — Completing walk‑around inspections and defect reports
- Accurate Documentation — PODs, delivery notes and route sheets
- Compliance — Following WTD, Driver Hours and company procedures
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Experience in general haulage preferred
- Reliable, punctual and able to follow route plans
- Good communication and safety awareness
