We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Driver Class 1 to join our dynamic logistics team. Duties

• Operate Class 1 Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) with precision and care, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Load and unload cargo, including flatbed deliveries, ensuring secure fastening and proper handling of goods.
• Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules and fuel efficiency.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including delivery logs, manifests, and electronic records.
• Communicate professionally with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
• Follow all health and safety procedures to create a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Experience

• Proven experience as a commercial delivery driver, preferably with flatbed or similar cargo handling experience.
• Valid HGV Class 1 license with a clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of UK road regulations and safe driving practices for heavy goods vehicles.
• Experience with route planning, navigation systems, and time management.
• Delivery driver experience involving loading/unloading cargo safely and efficiently.
• Familiarity with vehicle maintenance checks and basic troubleshooting skills is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
