HGV Driver class 2 Roll-on-off/Skip Driver

Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Driver Class 2 to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe delivery, exchange and collection of skips/Roll-ons within the Leicestershire Area. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a focus on commercial driving and delivery operations. Responsibilities

• Operate Class 2 HGV Skip lorries, in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies
• Conduct pre-journey safety checks on vehicles and equipment to ensure roadworthiness
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely collection and delivery of goods
• Loading and unloading of skips as required, adhering to health and safety standards
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance reports
• Communicate effectively customers regarding schedules or any issues encountered during transit
• Adhere strictly to all driving laws and company policies to ensure safety at all times

Requirements

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 licence with a clean driving record
• Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly as a Skip Driver/Roll-on Driver
• Familiarity with vehicle operations and securing loads securely
• Good knowledge of current road regulations and safety standards
• Ability to work independently, demonstrating organisational skills and reliability
• Flexibility to work overtime as required

Pay: £14.00-£15.50 per hour
