HGV Driver (Minimum class 2, category C)

Northern Recycling Solutions (NRS) is a growing waste management and recycling company based in Alness, serving customers throughout the Highlands, Moray, and occasionally Central Scotland and Islay.

We're proud of our reputation for delivering a reliable, professional service and are looking for a motivated HGV Driver (Class 2 minimum) to join our team. If you enjoy working outdoors, providing excellent customer service, and being part of a supportive and friendly workforce, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Driving

You'll operate a variety of modern fleet vehicles, including:

• Skip lorries (with and without trailers)
• Refuse collection vehicles
• Road sweepers

Previous experience with specialist vehicles is not essential, as full training will be provided.

For drivers who hold a Class 2 licence and wish to progress, we can offer the opportunity to gain a Class 1 (Category C+E) licence, fully funded by NRS, subject to performance and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Drive safely, professionally, and in accordance with company procedures and road traffic legislation.
• Take responsibility for the care and presentation of company vehicles.
• Maintain vehicles in a clean, tidy, and roadworthy condition.
• Deliver excellent customer service with a professional, friendly, and courteous approach.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and work safely at all times.
• Be flexible and adaptable to operational requirements.
• Undertake duties involving regular light, medium, and heavy lifting.

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence as a minimum.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safe working practices.
