Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Night Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy goods vehicles during night shifts to ensure timely delivery of goods to various locations. Your expertise in commercial driving, combined with a focus on safety and efficiency, will help us maintain our high standards of service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while enjoying the benefits of night shift work. This role will involve driving class 1 and class 2 vehicles.

Duties

• Safely operate HGV trucks, including flatbed vehicles, during night hours to transport goods across designated routes
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after each shift to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of loads, especially when handling flatbed deliveries
• Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment
• Complete accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each trip
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse teams regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered
• Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the vehicle throughout your shift

Requirements

• Valid HGV driving license with relevant categories for heavy goods vehicle operation
• Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly with delivery routes involving flatbed vehicles
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best driving practices for night shifts
• Experience with delivery driver duties, including loading, securing loads, and documentation processes
• Ability to work independently during night hours while maintaining high attention to detail
• Good physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks when necessary
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or route adjustments as needed
