Hi Reach Forklift Operator

About the role

OnSite Recruitment is seeking a skilled and reliable Hi Reach Forklift Operator to join our Clients team in Preston, Victoria. This is a casual position Day Shift Position Monday to Friday 7am-3pm, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work on an as-needed basis within our warehousing and distribution operations. As a Hi Reach Forklift Operator, you will play a vital role in their logistics operations, ensuring efficient movement and storage of materials whilst maintaining the highest safety standards. Your expertise in operating specialised lifting equipment will directly contribute to the smooth functioning of their warehouse and distribution centre.

Key responsibilities

• Operating hi-reach forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack and retrieve materials within the warehouse environment
• Loading and unloading goods from vehicles with precision and care
• Conducting daily equipment checks and reporting any maintenance issues or damage promptly
• Maintaining accurate records of materials moved and inventory levels
• Adhering strictly to health and safety procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
• Organising and optimising storage to maximise warehouse space utilisation
• Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations
• Following all company policies and warehouse protocols at all times

What we're looking for

• Current and valid High Reach Forklift Licence (or equivalent certification recognised in Victoria)
• Proven experience operating hi-reach forklifts in a warehousing or distribution environment
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to warehouse operations
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
• Physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work
• Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing priorities
• Previous experience in warehousing or logistics is highly desirable
