We are seeking a reliable and experienced Hiab Driver to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a Hiab crane attached to a flatbed lorry, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery and collection of goods. This role offers flexible hours suitable for individuals with prior commercial driving experience, particularly in delivery services. The ideal applicant will possess strong driving skills, familiarity with flatbed transport, and a commitment to safety and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Hiab crane attached to a flatbed pick up lorry to load and unload goods at various locations.
• Drive safely and responsibly, adhering to all road traffic regulations and company policies.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle and crane equipment to ensure safety standards are met.
• Plan delivery routes efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries and collections.
• Assist with securing loads on the flatbed to prevent movement during transit.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and vehicle maintenance logs.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times, including proper use of PPE and adherence to site-specific protocols.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving, with a clean driving licence.
• Prior experience operating a Hiab crane or similar lifting equipment is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with flatbed transport and securing loads effectively.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes and manage time efficiently.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure safety checks are completed thoroughly.
• Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members professionally.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

Pay: £12.71-£22.43 per hour
