About Us
Montessori Care is one of Australia's most trusted providers of in-home aged care and NDIS disability support services, supporting people who want to live safely, independently, and meaningfully in their own homes. Inspired by the Montessori philosophy, we work with families seeking peace of mind, building caring relationships based on respect, dignity, and trust.
We are person-centred, always. People are at the core of what we do every single day — whether it's our clients, their families, or our own staff, our vision is to promote autonomy, dignity, and personal growth, helping every individual live a life they choose.
About The Role
Due to growth, we are currently looking for High Intensity Disability Support Workers to join a stable, coordinated care team supporting long-term NDIS participants with high physical care needs, living in their own homes across Sydney South-West and Upper North Sydney. We have two positions available, each offering structured rosters within a well-managed, supportive team.
Please note: this is not a general support worker position. We require applicants with hands-on, demonstrated HIPDA (High Intensity Daily Activity) experience across at least 3 of the following:
- Complex bowel care (including enemas/suppositories if delegated)
- Urinary catheter care (IDC/SPC – care only, not insertion)
- PEG/PEJ feeding support (administer feeds, flushes, hygiene)
- Suctioning (oral/nasal)
- Tracheostomy awareness (care/observation, not tube changes)
- Pressure care/skin integrity monitoring
- Epilepsy/seizure response
- Respiratory support awareness
- Medication assistance
About You
To be successful in the role, you'll need:
- NSW Driver's Licence and your own vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, WWCC, Police Check, First Aid & CPR
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability/Ageing/Home & Community) or equivalent
- Demonstrated 2+ years' experience in high-intensity/complex care disability supports (in-home, SIL, hospital discharge, or similar)
- Manual Handling and Behaviour Support training highly regarded
