What You'll Do

• Be the visible, trusted presence at some of Los Angeles' busiest parks, libraries, and public facilities
• Engage with the community by greeting patrons, answering questions, and helping people feel welcome
• De-escalate first. Use communication and sound judgment to resolve conflicts calmly and safely
• Patrol and observe on foot and by vehicle, identifying risks before they become incidents
• Respond with confidence to emergencies, disturbances, and calls for assistance
• Partner with others, including facility staff, city personnel, and law enforcement
• Document clearly through accurate incident reports and daily activity logs

What You Bring

• 5+ years of armed security experience
• Proven customer service experience in a public-facing role
• Demonstrated de-escalation and conflict-resolution skills
• Active California BSIS Guard Card and Exposed Firearm Permit
• Strong communication and report-writing skills
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Professional appearance and a calm, steady demeanor

What Sets You Apart

• Military or law enforcement training
• Experience at parks, libraries, transit, or other high-traffic public sites
• Bilingual skills (Spanish or other languages common in LA communities)
• CPR/First Aid or crisis intervention certification
