High Reach Forklift Driver

About the role

Haverick Meats is seeking a skilled and reliable High Reach Forklift Driver to join our warehousing and distribution team. This is a casual position based in Botany, NSW 2019. As a High Reach Forklift Driver, you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations, safely and efficiently managing inventory movement and storage within our facility. This position is essential to maintaining our high standards of product handling and ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution centre.

What you'll be doing

*Operating high reach forklift equipment safely and efficiently to move, stack, and store products within the warehouse

• Conducting pre-operation checks on forklift equipment to ensure all safety features are functioning correctly
• Transporting goods between loading areas, storage locations, and dispatch zones whilst maintaining strict safety protocols
• Stacking products to maximum heights in accordance with warehouse specifications and safety requirements
• Maintaining accurate records of inventory movements and documenting any damage or discrepancies
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and warehouse procedures
• Collaborating with warehouse team members to optimise workflow and meet daily operational targets
• Performing general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment

What we're looking for

• Current and valid High Reach Forklift Licence (or equivalent certification recognised in NSW)
• Proven experience operating high reach forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety standards, particularly relating to forklift operation
• Excellent spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination
• Ability to work safely at heights and manage the physical demands of the role
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Reliability and punctuality, with the flexibility to work casual shifts as required
• Experience working in a food or cold storage environment is advantageous
• A commitment to continuous improvement and adherence to best practice procedures
